In the new rules, added April 22, 2010, contractors carrying out renovation repair and painting (RRP) tasks that disrupt lead-based paint in child care facilities, house facilities, and educational establishments constructed prior to 1978 ought to be EPA certified and will comply with specific work procedures to prevent lead contamination.
