New York, NY - All companies doing Renovation, Repair, and Painting (RRP) in house, day-care center or child-occupied facilities build prior 1978 must take care of the subsequent necessaries:

Must be Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) lead-safe certified.
Assign supervisory certified renovators who have successfully accomplished EPA-accredited one-day training and testing course.
Use only prepared workers who have got particular on-the-job training.
Use defined lead-safe work practices and render delegated educational material.

Both contracting companies and individual “renovators” in New York will have to own NY Certification for Lead Paint Removal. Also contractors with past lead abatement certificate need to be well prepared and should certify within this new federal system.
